“We spent 2 weeks in this fabulous house on the edge of Freiburg and enjoyed every day of our stay, particularly the hikes in the picturesque Black Forest. We we close to Freiburg either by bike or via the very convenient tram, but also so close to the vineyards and forests around the town. The house itself is very stylishly decorated and the south facing garden was big enough to sunbathe and eat our meals out in the sun. Located in a quiet pedestrian close, there were supermarkets and shops within walking distance. We found the neighbours exceedingly friendly and helpful and felt absolutely at home the entire time. We would like to thank this family for their hospitality and sharing their wonderful home with us. A thoroughly recommended exchange.”

“We just finished an exchange to the south of Germany, and were very pleased with our vacation. We felt right at home in the house and the neighbourhood, and had beautiful weather for taking side trips into the Alsace region west of Freiburg and Lake Constance to the east. We heartily recommend this home and area.”
Where is it?
Situated in Freiburg you both will find quick access to the charming city of Freiburg and to the beautiful landscape around as well. Located in the South West of Germany, Freiburg is close to France and Switzerland, both reachable between half one hour and one hour with car or train; even a day trip to Paris is possible by TGV. The city is located on the border of the Black Forest with mountains like the Feldberg (1.493 m/4.898 ft) or the Schauinsland (1.284 m/4.213 ft) and the Upper Rhine Plain. Meteorology Freiburg and the whole region belongs to the sunniest and warmest places in Germany, it is a major wine-growing region in because of this. The city is one of the oldest German university towns and is known for his advanced environmental practices and a relaxed, south-influenced lifestyle as well. We are living in a calm neighbourhood, between gardens and small houses on the edge of Freiburg. The city is reachable by tram, within a walk of 5 minutes and a ride of 10 minutes to the central place of Freiburg and 15 minutes to the central station, pretty often in the working hours. Equally in a walking-distance of 5 minutes you will find all you need for your daily food, like a bakery or a supermarket.
