About our home

Our house is located in Grafrath. It is a spacious, light sunny house with large windows. In the evening you can see lovely sunsets on our large patio which is west facing. There is a large garden with a trampoline, slack line, volleyball net and great view across the surrounding countryside.
We have 3 bedrooms, all with double beds. One situated on the ground floor and two upstairs.

More about us

  1. We are Andrew and Jenny, a married couple in our 40's with two children, Keri who is 13 and Mark who is 11. We are English, we both grew up in Zimbabwe and later lived in England for 12 years before moving to Germany. We have lived in Germany for 10 years and love it here, this part of Germany is really lovely with the city of Munich, the mountains and lakes nearby. Andrew works at the European Patent Office in Munich and Jenny is an English teacher.

Neighbourhood

Our house is situated in a picturesque village with a river running through it. You can swim in the river or canoe down to the next village and stop there for lunch. We have inflateable boats you can use. There are many lakes nearby including 'Ammersee' that can also be easily reached in 25 minutes by bike or on in-liners. There is an S-Bahn station in the village with trains running every 20 minutes to Munich. Hiring a car or taking the train you can easily make day trips to the German and Austrian Alps, Castle Neuschwanstein or Oberammergau.
