“We made exchange with Ino and Tilo´s family for 9 days in july 2016. We had a wonderful time in their big and beautiful house. We met shortly in Denmark in our home when they arrived. We were 4 persons but their house could easily host 5-6 adults. Our wish was to see Dresden. With a car Ino and Tilo´s house was a good starting point for visits in all Sachen. We were twice in Dresden (a town my wife would compare with Prague and Berlin´s beauty). We were in Leipzig and in the Saxon Switzerland (Bastei) and in the village Seiffen. One day our teenage children climbed the trees at Kriebstein near Mittweida ( http://www.kletterwald-kriebstein.de ). It is a well organized activity place. On warm days we went to the public swimming pool on the road. We also visited the local town and spent time in the house and Ines and Tilo´s big garden. Ines parents looked after the rabbits. As well as Ines and Tilo´s family they are wonderful people. Her mother speaks good English. We had also a good contact with the neighbour woman who nursed the ducks. She liked to talk and we tried to remember our German language we learned in school. Ines and Tilo´s family stayed in our summerhouse in Denmark and they left it very nice and clean. Ines and Tilo prepared a lot of information about their area with maps and everything that we found when we arrived. We can surely recommend house swapping with Ines and Tilo.”
Tilo's reviewsAs a host (2)
“We spent two weeks over the summer in Ines and Tilo's home and had a fantastic time. The house itself is large, immaculate and a pleasure to stay in. The garden is large and the kids and great fun with games etc. There is a lot to do locally, swimming pool is ace, bike riding and water skiing (small lake with a kind of ski button lift thing to take you around - great fun). further afield Dresden is fantastic, Prague (always beautiful) is not far and there are great walking, hiking etc things to do. In short we ran out of time!! Ines was very helpful with all my daft questions and gave us loads of tips on things to do I have not been to Germany on holiday before and after visiting Ines and Tilo's home will be going again. Thanks Myles and Mary”
Where is it?
Our neighborhood is very quiet. Our house is situated on the outskirts of the town of Hainichen in a small street where you can find some houses and gardens. The public swimming pool is 60 metres away. The children can play outside. There is a playground and beach volleyball next to the swimming pool. In town you find supermarkets, shopping facilities, restaurants, cafes, a museum, a big park with some zoo animals, two churches. You can do water-skiing here and there is cycle path through the woods. There are trains and buses to the next bigger cities.
The state capital of Dresden is half an hour from here where you can enjoy the beautiful baroque scenery, lots of museums, galleries, the steam boats on the river Elbe, cultural events and shopping. Other places of interest are nearby such as the castles of Kriebstein at a lake and Augustusburg with a cable car and a summer sledge ride. Other big cities are Chemnitz and Leipzig, Meißen with a beautiful old city centre.
