About our home

We offer a spacious country house surrrounded by a large beautiful garden. Three terraces invite you for rest, dining outside, watching birds or just to listen to the murmur of the brook and pond. Our house has central electrical heating under the flagstone(groundfloor) and parquet (first floor). In addition an open fire place, where a gorgious Persian cat wants to be caressed. A spacious kitchen with many useful machines make cooking easy. We have constructed a winter garden behind the house just recently.

More about us

  1. We, Gudrun and Hans, recently retired from our jobs: Gudrun has been a teacher and Hans is a theologian. We first met in Palestine. With our two boys, who are grown-up and married meanwhile, we spent 3 years in India. Gudrun is interested in Botany, hiking, reading, swimming. Hans loves fishing, arts and music. We both are keen to learn more about foreign cultures and people. We would like to plan our home exchange some months in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via e-mail.

Where is it?

Our house is situated just at the edge of a large wood, which invites for hiking, bird watching, collecting berries etc. An open air solar heated swimming pool and a wonderful golf course are close to our village. Our neighbours are friendly and of international origin. The famous city of Heidelberg with museums, galleries, zoo, all sorts of amusements and stunning views is 20 km away. Boattrips and bicycle rides along the castle fringed river Neckar may become attractive outings: Palaces, half-timbered houses, churches, ruins and a touch of the times when knights wielded sword and lance. Thanks to its striking surroundings, the Neckar is Germany's most romantic river. Our village is small, but provides all shops for daily needs including gas station, doctors, pharmacy etc.
