“Jutta\'s home is bright, attractive, well located and well equipped. Spread over the top two floors of a four story building, it was very nicely furnished with a dining table around which we spent much of our time and a quite comfortable bed in a large bedroom. It has a small but well equipped kitchen and a washer AND dryer in the basement. The home is located on the "quiet" side of the river, a ten minute walk from the old town, which we found just perfect. Parking is scarce but available in the area. Heidelberg is sufficiently compact that we were able to walk everywhere, which is our great preference, and there were many things to see and do in this gorgeous medieval town. Jutta was a great hostess in that we communicated regularly before and during our visit. She even went so far as to take us out to dinner which was completely unexpected and quite delightful. All in all, this was just a great exchange!”

“My family (four of us) spent two weeks in this lovely home. It was our first exchange, and the perfect start! The bedrooms were spacious and clean, but it was the enchanting upstairs room that made the home so special. In this room, there are two big skylights that can be opened to let in the fresh air, plus a glass door out onto a backyard balcony. At this level you are essentially on the 4th floor (3rd level up) and have a beautiful view. I worked from this room for two weeks (really good wireless high-speed internet), and looked forward to it each day. The neighbors on the ground floor and first level were cordial, and had children with lovely giggles. However, you would need to go outside to hear them because this apartment is very quiet. The location was also perfect, walking distance to the Altstadt (across a beautiful bridge with an unbelievable view up the Nekar river towards the Heidelberg castle), the Philosopher's Way, and shopping. There's a grocery store close-by. The kitchen is small, but functional, and the owner is just wonderful. Jutta is a thoughtful, helpful, and encouraging person, as is her grown daughter who met us and gave us full information (and graciously stayed up late for us because our flight had been delayed). Fair warning that there are stairs to climb (it's two levels up), so if you have bad knees, you'll need some help, but they were not a problem at all for my family. I sincerely recommend this home, it is truly a special place and the owner is lovely.”
“Nous avons passé 6 jours à Heidelberg, chez Jutta. La pièce du haut très lumineuse et chaleureuse est très agréable et en bas pour dormir, on profite du quartier calme. L'appartement se situe à proximité du centre ville, du Philosophenweg et de la forêt et c'est un plaisir de faire du vélo dans cette ville. Les contacts avec Jutta et son accueil furent top ! Merci beaucoup !”
“Frans and me had a wonderful stay in Jutta's very comfortable warm home in Neuenheim, Heidelberg. Jutta made us feel very welcome although we were not able to meet in person - she left notes in her house explaining little practical things which gave our stay a very nice ring. Her house is situated in a very nice area called Neuenheim on walking distance of a twice weekly farmers' market, shops, restaurants and the interesting university campus with botanical garden - also the old centre of Heidelberg with lots to enjoy en relish so to speak. We also took a hiking tour in the Heiligenberg forest which we highly recommend. Overall we had a very relaxed week staying in Jutta's house.”
“This is a great place to stay . Jutta is an excellent host . The unit has everything needed to facilitate your stay! It is close to shops, markets and the old area of Heidelberg , there is a tram stop 5 min walk away that connects to Heidelberg station . We walked to the Aldstadt, rode bikes along the riverbank ,visited the wineries , went to Baden Baden spa , Strasbourg . All easily done. ”
“We have just come back from our holidays in Heidelberg and we can only say that it has been wonderful. We have enjoyed very much this region with its charming villages of the Neckar Valley full of live and a lot to visit: Hirschhorn, Ladenburg or Weinheim. Also we went 3 days to the Black Forest. Freiburg is a very beautiful city. On our way back we visit the French city of Colmar and Baden Baden. Other cities, near Heidelberg, worth mentioning are Worms and Speyer with their imperial cathedrals that should be visited. Besides, Jutta\'s house was very cosy and is located near city center with all facilities. We felt there like at home. Jutta’s daughter was very friendly and welcoming and she gave us all kinds of recommendations like suggestions for nice restaurants or places to go. we are very satisfied and we have been enchanting with the city and with her precious house. It has been a pleasure to exchange and we highly recommend an unforgettable stay at their house!”
Where is it?
Staying at our place you're in walking distance from Heidelberg's famous philosopher’s path ("Philosophenweg"), the river Neckar and the quaint old town, university and castle. With its restaurants, small shops and historic market square our neighbourhood is one of the most popular in Heidelberg. It's quiet and lively at the same time and truly enjoyable.
