About our home

Our house is a traditional style farmhouse for the region with a barn, stables, generous garden and two terraces to catch the sun in the morning and in the evening.
We have not 1 or 2 or 3 but 4 hammocks to relax in the garden in the shade.
Inside we have all the usual modern conveniences and also a homemade home cinema system with a projector and wireless mouse and keyboard for entertainment so you can watch all your favourite movies or sporting events on a big screen.

We even have our own bar and a traditional underground wine cellar so you can enjoy a nice drink in style whatever the weather.

There are 2 supermarkets within a 15 minute walk (3-5minute drive) and a bowling alley and hardware store.
Also within walking distance is Germany's best beer garden 2012. They don't hand out that prize easily!

Stuttgart is of course our closest city which is about 45 minutes drive without traffic.
Strassbourg, France is only 2 hours drive over the scenic black forest.
Beautiful Lake Constanz is about 1.5-2hrs drive. (A Lake where 3 countries meet)
From there you can cross over into Switzerland for a nice day trip.
Bregenz, Austria is a further 1 hr from there. Bregenz is where they have a famous opera on the lake shore every summer. The opera was a scene in a recent James Bond movie.

Our house can sleep 6 or maybe more if we finish the convertion of the upper floor before the summer.
We hope to finished with all the rennovations by next summer. More photos to come...
