About our home
Our house was built in 1970 and we bought and renovated it 6 years ago. We try to get it modern and light-flooded with a mix of old and modern furniture. We have three floors. The basement is the parent area with sleeping / living room and fireplace, as well as bathroom and separated toilet. Also here is the laundry room, study and shoe room.
On the ground floor is the family center with kitchen and large table. Here is also still at the entrance the wardrobe and the guest toilet. A small study with television serves as a retreat. On the first floor is the children's area. There are 4 rooms with 6 single beds (one loft and one to take off). The children have a bathroom with toilet, shower and bath and another small toilet extra. From two rooms you can enter the balcony and has a beautiful view over the rooftops Ingelheim. In spring we are planning to rebuild the terrace on the ground floor to a cold winter garden. The plot is 700 square meters and the garden is facing southwest, so it is always nice and warm. My favorite place is the wooden terrace with a divan bed ... in summer we have a small pool for the children, which is exchanged in the fall with a trampoline.

Neighbourhood
Ingelheim is a small town with a very old history. There are archaeological excavations from the Merovingian period and the imperial palace testifies to the importance of the place in the second half of the 8th century. The climate is a very dry and warm in the region, even red wine is grown here and therefore also Ingelheim is called "the red wine town". From May to October, wine festivals take place almost every weekend on traditional, beautiful wineries. Ingelheim is a very rich city with its own museums and even a concert hall (called 'KIng'). Ingelheim is also very centrally located in the middle of Germany. You get to the state capital of Mainz in 10 minutes by train, or in 40 minutes to Frankfurt! With its lovely location To the river Rhine, you can also Plan great day trips to the old castles to the River Rhine, as well as to Rüdesheim or the Loreley rock (very popular for tourists). The city is also very popular with families, as it is very quiet and manageable despite all the event and possibilities. The house is located 100 meters from the outskirts and from here you can start directly with a hike through the vineyards.
