Features

More about us

  1. We're Nicolas and Maggie, a French-Irish couple living near Bonn, Germany with 18 month-old Jules

  2. Nicolas is a translator and Maggie works at the United Nations in Bonn

  3. We love the outdoors, we live directly on the Rhine with vineyards close by yet only 25 minutes drive from Cologne airport. Just in front of our apartment there are small 'beaches' for picnics and relaxing, while immediately behind you have vineyards and Siegenberge hills for hiking within 10 minutes' walking distance. There is also a long cycle path along the Rhine in either direction as well as a tourist boat for visiting the quaint villages if you don't feel like cycling. For culture and entertainement there is a direct tram to Bonn and also a direct train to Cologne. To the south we recommend the Red Wine Trail (Rotweinwanderweg) which is about 1 hour easily by train or 25 mins in the car, with excellent hiking and hospitality for day trips as well as some spa retreats.
