About our home

I have a beautiful studio apartment in an old renovated historic building with a big and quite garden in the city center of Berlin (former East Berlin).

The studio is 40 sq m (430 sq f) with a balcony and consists of a living room/bedroom, kitchen, bathroom with shower and a storage where the washing machine and clothing closet is located. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, fridge, toaster and dishwasher.

The studio is minimally decorated, but with charm. It is simple and modern and also very clean. It has wooden floors, nice big windows and thick walls.

The neighborhood is one of the best in Berlin as it’s very close to all the attractions Berlin has to offer. You have shopping centers, boutiques, cafés, bars, restaurants, art galleries, museums right at your doorstep. That means you can reach everything walking or riding the bike.

The Berlin Wall Memorial is very close by as well as Alexanderplatz. There is a tram in front of the house that takes you directly to central station. The connection to Tegel airport is also very good. Going by taxi or bus, takes around 25 minutes. There is also an S-bahn station (subway) few minutes away that brings you directly to Friedrichstrasse, Potsdamer Platz or Charlottenburg (West Berlin).

If you like to explore the surroundings of Berlin, there are many lakes and forests that can be reached by public transportation. You can also take a day trip to Potsdam and visit Sanssouci - the former summer palace of Friedrich the Great.

I’m looking to exchange my studio apartment with someone who would like to stay at least 1 month. My plan is to go to Los Angeles in the September/October for a longer stay of 3 to 6 months.

Car exchange negotiable.
