About the area: the house is located right at the intersection of Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg. It is set off from a busier road in a quiet residential street with cobble stones and buildings from the late 19th, early 20th century. Berlin-Mitte is official the new center of Berlin. The popular and urban neighborhood is characterized by many beautiful and classy old buildings. The area is also known as hip, family-friendly and lively. In the last few years the neighborhood has become a popular scene-quarter and offers a huge variety of cultural and leisure activities. From street bars to small coffee roasters to high quality restaurants – the gastro choice in the immediate vicinity caters to every taste. In Berlin Mitte you will find the upscale fashion brands as well as local designers who display unique fashion and knick knack. Art galleries are here in abundance. The Hackescher Markt and the world-famous Museums Island can be reached within a few minute walk from the house. For kids there is an abundance of playgrounds to choose from. Ideal connections to the public transportation (subway, suburban railway, buses) network make this area an urban yet very livable and strollable hot-spot for its residents and visitors.
