Lovely, sunny and very quiet apartment with a view in the park.
Our home is quite and very bright in the nice neighbourhood of Gern.
We like to eat in the kitchen, but there´s a large old country table in the living room for meals with guests, too.
The sofa could be used as an extra bed.
We´ve got a sunny balcony. One of the nicest beergardens of munich is just downstairs, so we love to take our own picnic there and only buy the drinks (as a wonderful convention of munich beergardens allow).
We would like to invite you to Munich. A city full of possibilities. Indoors and outdoors. Great museums, city life, concert-halls and the great out-doors: when the weather is fine we see the Alps right from our city.
The apartment is very kids-proof.
We are a couple with a daughter of 6, Janne. Anke is an Illustrator for web, books and magazines. She also teaches at Art-School. She has a studio at an old factory, the Wiedefabrik in Munich.
I am filmmaker and lecturer, specialized in documentaries. At the moment I focus on lecturering at the film-academy.
We live in a very quiet area on the third and top-floor of an apartment house (sorry, no lift). Our balcony overlooks a park and one of the cosy beer-gardens of Munich.
Metro (U-bahn)station to the city-center is a 3min. walk and from there you reach in 6 min. central station. There are two parks in our neighborhood: Olympic park with it's characteristic tent-roofs as well as the Nymphenburg castle with it's old park. One of our favorite weekend strolls.
With a little more time at hand we enjoy the surroundings. Jan's favorite is the Münter-Haus in Murnau. Anke's hotspot is Tegernsee. A trip that has to end at the local Bräuhaus. When it rains we are at the Pinakotheken or at Anke's studio. http://www.wiede-fabrik.de/ausstellungen/2-eindruecke-frueherer-ausstellungen
Janne is fine with everything but recommends a sleepover in one of the alpine-huts in the mountains. Her kind of a weekend. Cows and great views.
