Our middle of the row house with a small garten is located in a quiet and green residential area in Nürnberg near the zoo, with super easy and quick access with public transport to the old town centre and famous historic sights. Our home was built in 1969 and is partly renovated.. It has an eclectic style with some original features but also lots of modern and quirky details. We have a terrace and a small garten both with shady and sunny areas.
The house has 3 levels plus a cellar the full length of the house with storage area, wash kitchen etc. There is an an open plan living area with a double sofa bed on the ground floor, a guest room/ study with a double sofa bed and our son's spacious room (big enough for two small children) with balcony on the 1st floor and a smallish master bedroom with double bed on the 2nd. We have two toilets on the ground and 1st floor and a separate walk in shower- but no bath tub ( adding a family bathroom is still a project for next year). Parking is free and easy in the streets around the house.
Nürnberg is interesting for both lovers of culture and history and also families travelling with children.
For families: the famous and absolute highlight Playmobil Fun Park( our son would move in there if he could:-) , interesting dino museum and park at 40 mins drive from here, the zoo with a dolphins' lagoon located in the forest at 10 mins walk from us , great swimming pools and sport activities in green spaces. The forest is a 3 min walk from our house and there are numerous lovely public playgrounds for small children in walking distance.

Sights include the famous Xmas market in winter, Imperial Castle with its secret under the earth tunnels, the old town centre, Nürnberg trials- Palace of Justice, former Nazi rally ground and World World II documentation centre, Museum of Germanic Art and Culture, park with beergartens where you can sample local beers.

Day trips: medieval city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Bamberg, Würzburg, breweries, Munich is 1.5 hours drive

Nature and sports: a small natural lake 15 mins walk for us ( for swimming from about July), cycling, forests, Brombachsee- lovely lake with sandy beach about 40 mins drive away, Frankonian Switzerland ( Fränkische Schweiz) for hiking
