About our home

We like to offer our home for your vacation with kids or without. Its a small flat with three rooms and a eat-in kitchen in a house with garden that is otherwise not used. We have two children, 8 and 3 years old, and naturally are equipped with books and toys and bikes for them to ride around town. The town of Oberursel is the most popular suburb of Frankfurt, ts a quiet, 15th century old town with picturesque old European architecture and lots of nature and quiet forest (Tanus) to explore right outside your door. The bicycles or the tram (3 minutes from our home) will bring you directly to the heart of Frankfurt which is 12 km from us. There are museums, zoos, cafes, shopping, parks, great jogging next to the rivers and, of course, big banks to discover. Frankfurt is also called "Mainhattan", our German version of Manhatten lying at the Main, one of the rivers flowing through Frankfurt. It is the centre of banking in Germany and Europe (European Central Bank), that gives it a unique air of sophistication and elegance, not unlike New York´s Manhattan in this way. Heidelberg and other tourist points of interests are within the reach of a day trip.
