About our home

This 1930's townhouse villa has been fully restored 2007 to comfortably accomodate a family of 5-6. The living and dining area builds the center of attention with it's fireplace for cozy winter evenings and exits from both sides to the terrace and childrens enclosed playing garden area. The home is equipped for an active young family with small children, including a variety of German wooden toys. The kitchen is large for German standards with pantry and all comforts for cooking and dining. The bathrooms have been designed with natural stone/fossil plating, found in the local area around Passau. The solid wooden floors are easy to keep clean and add warmth to the living atmosphere. The view from the livingroom is in one direction towards the church Maria Hilf of Passau and to the other side a monestary in Austria.

More about us

  1. My husband Dr. Fritz Audebert and I own one of Europes largest intercultural training institutes with combined relocation services. For this reason Fritz and I are very interested in all aspects of foreign cultures and have had great fun together in getting to know these on a different basis than as tourists. We would especially like to share these experiences with our three young children to widen the horizon of our young family. We would like to expand our knowledge of the American culture as well as the language and at the same time take time out for our family to enjoy the wonderful nature and activities that California has to offer. We would also like to share our home in Passau, Germany to people with equal interests and status. We are certain that many interesting people would like to spend a few months in our Bavarian home not far from such beautiful places like Salzburg, Munich, Vienna and Prag that can all be reached in short outings.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The opposite side of the entrance gives a view to a nature protection part of the city and harbours a number of interesting animals including woodpeckers and squirrels. The surrounding homes are mainly in the 1930's villa styles and have been preserved as such. The house is set on a steep hill with a 5-10 minute walk to the city center. There is a very modern mall for shopping as well as the quaint and famous old-town center of Passau filled with charming shops, cafés and historical sites. The worlds largest historical church organ finds its home here in Passau as well as the fact that three rivers come together in Passau, the beginning point for river cruises to Vienna, Budapest and the Black Sea.
