“We are very pleased the two weeks we spent in house of Annette and Sunrise. It is light, comfortable and cozy. The small town where is located, Ahrensburg, is quiet and pleasant. It is 15 minutes by train from Hamburg you can learn well this city. Also its geographical situation allows you to know all of Northern Germany, its beautiful cities, the Baltic Sea and the North Sea. A good choice for travellers. Communication with Annette has been close and easy.”

Where is it?
The neighbors are friendly and helpful (but also mostly private).
Wuppertal is a medium-sized friendly town (about 350.000 inhabitants) with a very nice pedestrian/shopping zone in the city centre (2km, direct bus), near Dusseldorf (20 min via train) and Cologne (30 min via train) as well as Dortmund (40 minutes) and Essen (30 minutes). Also, you can get to Paris (4 hours via train), Amsterdam (3 hours), Bruges (2 hours) and a lot of other beautiful cities in Europe. Airports are in Cologne, Dortmund and Düsseldorf and the train-station can be reached by bus (15 min ride).
The area is very quiet – sometimes the deer visit the area just under our balcony. There are many surrounding trails and possibilities for hiking (the “Trasse” is a several km long paved hiking, biking, walking, skating area with a nice café (Utopiastadt -- Mirker Bahnhof) where there are often theatre and other performances. In Wuppertal, there are the famous hanging public transportation trains (Schwebebahn), several museums, a sculpture park and zoo. For more information: https://www.wuppertal.de/microsite/en/index.php
