Our home is a large and light house, surrounded by the German forests in the middle of the country. Newly-build, the house has all modern luxury without losing the typical German charm.
We have 4 bedrooms, 1 very large bathroom, an extended library with German books and a fully-equipped kitchen. Next to that, the house offers a calm office with internet, fax, etc.
There is a very nice garden, terrace and balcony for summer days, while cocooning at the wood fire during winter evenings is cosy and relaxing.
Very calm neighbourhood, while shops and railway station are still walking distance. Car is optional.
Joerg & Annelies. Almost fourty. And thirty-something. Easy-going. Travellers. Adventurous. And very flexible.
Joerg is a serial entrepreneur, while Annelies is a free-lance copywriter and journalist (human interest & travel for European magazines). Joerg is a passionate pilot, while Annelies adores yoga and photography. We both love discovering new countries, cultures and languages.
Having a great opportunity in San Francisco for some months, we're looking for home exchange opportunities in the city/Bay Area. (between sept. 2008 - dec. 2008)
Next to that, we're interested in some good ideas for 2009. We're absolutely interested in long term opportunities, no matter where...but also short vacations to exciting places attract us!
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Annelies & Joerg
Home to the brothers Grimm, Kassel is fairy-tale like with great hiking and biking possibilities, beautiful nature and well-kept castles.
The city is every five years the centre of Modern Art, when organizing Documenta. Art is also part of the region when Documenta is not there, with many museums and art shops.
Kassel is in the heart of Germany, and gives easy access to explore the rest of the country (Berlin - 2,5 hours; Hamburg - 2 hours; Munich - 3,5 hours). Good rail and road conditions give easy access to Switserland, Austria, Belgium and Holland. Even Denmark and Poland could be visited for a weekend-away.
A small apartment in Brussels could be offered additionally during your stay. Conditions to be discussed.
