We just bought and refurbished our beautiful flat of 72m2 in Thisseio, central Athens. The location is outstanding. Not only is Thisseio a quaint authentic neighborhood, but Athens' most important historical sites are within walking distance. It’s literally a few steps away from Filopappou, Athens’ best park. The Observatory and the Ancient Wall of Pnyx are on top of the hill, offering 360 views of the city. The grand Acropolis and the Agora are two steps away. Monastiraki, one of Athens’ main squares is 15 minutes by foot. You’ll find Metro Station Thisseio (L1) conveniently located just 5 minutes away, connecting you to Athens 3 lines.
The flat is sunny and has two double rooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and a lovely balcony with plants. You will find all the amenities you need to make your stay unforgettable. It is pretty quiet, facing a street with almost no cars. Instead of the usual city noise, you’ll be listening to birds, cats, and the occasional passersby. Nevertheless, we installed double glazed windows, shutters, mosquito nets, and AC. There are a supermarket and a bakery in the corner.
To socialize, Thisseio’s coolest pedestrian street, Iraklidon, is only two minutes away. There you’ll find great restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. That’s not all, walk 2 minutes to get to historic Apostolou Pavlou / Dionysiou Areopagitou Pedestrian Street, populated by ancient sites, parks, bars, and restaurants. Additionally, Gazi’s nightclubs and bars are 10 minutes away, and Petralona’s Troon Street with its traditional tavernas and theatres 5 minutes.
