The Edge is a small but beautiful house on the island of Aegina, 35 minutes ride with the Flying Dolphin ferry from the port of Piraeus (which is 40 minutes with direct bus from the airport) in Athens.
The Edge is right on the water with a wonderful huge sea front veranda overlooking the Aegean Sea in 180 degrees. The house is located in the village Perdika which have everything you will need for a lazy week in Greece - including a lot of nice restaurants. Despite it´s village location it is a secluded spot where you will be very private.
To see the exact location of the house download Google Earth (earth. google. com/downloads. html) and then put in the position:
37 41'39. 94" N, 23 27'24. 16" E
- that is exactly on the terrace of the house. . .
You can take a bath in the crystal clear water in the ocean just in front of the house.
The house consists of an upper lewel with one open room with an adjoining kitchen in one end and a bathroom. The upper level open up onto a huge terrace where most of the time is spent. On the lower level there are two bedrooms - one with two separate yacht style beds and one with a double bed. The rooms share a bathroom. There is a bedsofa upstairs so the house can accomodate 5-6 people depending on age. The most comfortable living solution is however of course 4 people.
The whole house is newly renovated.
Aegina is the island closest to Athens and it is the holiday location of a lot of people from Athens. The first capital of Greece used to be on Aegina and you can still find one of the nicest temples of Greece on the island. Apart from the main town there are many lovely villages on the island so there are lots of things to discover.
You can find plenty of information on Aegina on www.aeginagreece.com
Perdika - where the house is located - is an old fishing village about 15 minutes from the ferry terminal in Aegina town. It is rather quiet but have all the service you will need with shops and a dozen restaurants within walking distance.
In the harbour in Perdika you can also buy fresh fish directly from the fishermen.
