About our home

Our home is located in La Reunion Country Club and Golf Resort 15 kilometers from Antigua, Guatemala. The new 250 sq. meter custom home sits on a spacious wooded lot overlooking a ravine and designed in colonial/mid-century architecture. A separate Guesthouse with in-suite spa bathroom, overlooks a walled garden offering complete privacy. The living room has 8 meters of glass walls overlooking a water garden terrace and a view to the Pacific Ocean 50 kilometers in the distance. The fully equipped custom kitchen sports Kitchen Aid appliances and separate laundry facilities. Dinning alfresco on the covered dinning area or on the spacious terrace surrounding the living areas. The home has high speed internet and American satellite Dish-TV on two flat screen TV’s
The temperature throughout the year varies between a low of 60F. (15C) to a high of 78 F. (25C) and rains almost daily between June 1 and October 15 with the remaining months being sunny and dry.
The home is located in a private development and sits adjacent to the La Reunion Country/Golf Club. (Video on request) The Club consist of a World Class PGA Golf Course designed by famed Pete Dye and a 4 Star Bungalow Hotel and restaurant. The use of the house includes free use of the golf course, restaurant, locker room/sauna, swimming pool, tennis, and gym. Our home is 2 kilometers from the club house on a private cobblestone street and the entire development sits on the side of an active volcano, Fuego, which puffs daily above the complex and at night displays fantastic shows of exploding lava. The home is completely private with no other houses in view and comes with a gardener to tend the gorgeous botanical garden of tropical plants collected through out the world. The entire complex is private and guarded by 24/7 security. Weekly maid service would be available. We prefer to accommodate only adults. - Renting a car is almost mandatory as there is only chicken bus service from La Reunion to Antigua. La Reunion is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from Guatemala City Airport. Private shuttle pick-up is available.

Antigua is a time capsule of 18th century colonial architecture preserved after an earthquake in 1773 and is now a city of cobble stone streets, spectacular ruins of 25 churches and convents with shops filled with Guatemalan textiles, artifacts and open air markets. Antigua is the #1 tourist attraction in all Central America and boasts 5 Star dinning and hotels and is the home base for exploring the entire country. Antigua has 30 language schools for short and long-term learning and gateway to 11 different climate zones from desert to rainforest. Our home is 1 hour's drive from the black sand coastline of the Pacific Ocean. If you're interested in discovering the Mayan and Spanish Colonial history of Central American, Antigua is the place to begin. We love to share our information and suggestions with any would be traveler about our beautiful country and experiences. -
Walks in the park
Free golf is available on La Reunion's PGA Champion ship golf course designed by famed Pete Dye. Four volcanos are visible from the course and two are very active offering a chance to see an explosive show of smoke and lava.

Day tripping
The Pacific Ocean is 60 Kms from the house and offers many quaint hotels and restaurants on the black stand beaches of the coast. Daily shuttle service is available to the Pacific from Antigua where the temperature is in the upper 80's. Gondola rides through the mangrove backwaters offer a bird watching paradise agains the background of 8 volcanos in the background. It's a National Geographic experience at dawn watching the sun rise on the volcanos while still in darkness in the preserved park by the sea.
