About our home

My flat is in the full center of Budapest, on the 7th floor (with a lift). The flat is bright with big windows and air conditioning, overlooking a small street, the park and the Danube with Margaret island.

I have a nice new bathroom with a bath and the toilet plus of course you will find all necessary appliances in the flat - adsl, microwave oven, washing machine etc.

In the living-room there is a sofa bed, which is comfortable for two people if opened. Plus there is the bedroom with a double bed.

We would mostly be interested in European exchanges

More about us

  1. Our family has been the member of another home exchange association for 20 years. I have exchanged 12 times in the past. Now my friend told me she loved Home for Exchange so I thought I would try it too.

I teach languages, Tamás is an engineer. Sometimes it's the two of us travelling, sometimes the 5 of us with 3 daughters (7, 8 and 18).

Please feel free to ask any questions and for further photos (sorry for the bad quality of the pictures. I'll take some new ones soon :( )

Where is it?

This is one of the most elegant areas of the centre: the Parliament, the Danube and Margaret island, Lukacs Spa, Falk Miksa street with all its art galleries and antique shops, etc. are all within walking distance. There are also lots of little shops, nice bars, and restaurants in the neighbourghood. Also the public transportation is great with the metro and tram 2, 4, 6 that take you all around town. Tram 2 takes you along the Danube so you can enjoy great views of Buda, bus 15 across the centre etc.
