About our home

Our house is a romantic, old stone house. The Danube river is 2 km away, with everything a river can offer, swimming, kayaking, etc. The house is on a hillside and has a beautiful view. A nature protection area is 1 mile away from the doorstep. Budapest city center is only a 30-minute drive away. The Danube-bend is only 15 minutes away, with its breathtaking views and hiking possibilities. Public transport is not the best, but we have a car and using it could be arranged.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

While Szentendre is a gem of the Danume itself with its cobblestone streets and orthodox churches, art museums and Danube promenade, it also is a great access point to everything that Budapest and the Danube bend offers: beautiful hikes in a nature protection area, thermal baths in Budapest, kayaking, canoeing on the Danube. It is about 20 minutes drive from the medieval, well preserved Visegrad Castle.
