About our home

Our home was designed by the man of the house and built in 2004.
The house is around 200m2, with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The house is on 3 platforms.
The top platform is an open living room/dining room/kitchen with large windows and a wonderful view, the kitchen is acquitted with everything you could possibly need to cook a notorious family meal, and the dishwasher will take care of cleaning the dishes whilst you digest. From the kitchen you have direct access to the balcony, where you can enjoy your morning coffee or grill your dinner on the weber grill.
The main entrance is on the middle platform amongst one bedroom with 1½ sized bed, a bathroom with a shower and a washing room with a washing machine and drying space.
On the lower platform you have three bedrooms all with direct access to a nice sundeck. The master bedroom and the middle bedroom both have double beds, the last bedroom has a 1½ sized bed. The lower platform also contains the master bathroom with a bathtub.
Our home is in a wonderful small town in east Iceland called Egilsstadir, the house is surrounded by beautiful nature with various hiking possibilities. And a short drive from a lot of nature amusements.
There is around a 30 minute drive from the beautiful small town Seydisfjördur where the ferry Norröna ( http://www.smyrilline.com/ ) docks.
If you are travelling from Keflavik airport you will have to fly domestic to get from south of Iceland to east of Iceland or you could take a road trip from south to east, which we highly recommend.
