About our home

Our house is very warm and welcoming. From the center hall you can go the dining room, bathroom, kitchen and master bedroom. Downstairs are the two bedrooms, one with two single beds and one with a double bed. The laundry room is also downstairs. We also have two very friendly cats, that come with the house. There is a small apartment on the loft totaly seperated from our apartment, that has a seperate entrance on the back of the house. A quiet, single woman lives in the loft apartment.

Neighbourhood

Akureyri is the largest town in the north of Iceland, with just over 17000 people living here. Our house is just in the centre of town, though not "down-town". It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk down-town. All the buses in Akureyri are free, and the bus stoppes very near our house. Its very easy to travel from Akureyri to the most beautiful locations in the north. Goðafoss and Mývatn are only 1 hour away. Húsavík, Ásbyrgi and Hljóðaklettar are about 1,5-2 hours away.
We consider the north of Iceland the most beautiful.
The summers in North Iceland are very mild and nice. Nothing compares walking in icelandic clean nature. The winter in North Iceland is often calm weather and lots of fresh snow. And of course the northern lights!
