About our home
Bright, big living room with a backyard and a big terrace/patio in a nice neighborhood close to Reykjavik city center and a beautiful river and valley called Elliðaár/Elliðaárdalur. Perfect place to visit south-west Iceland with a car.
Parking is easy with spot in driveway.
We have a cat and a dog! If you don´t mind feeding the cat it would be very much appreciated. If you would rather not feed the cat then just let me know and I will arrange for her to go somewhere else while you stay in our home. The dog will go to my family :)
Kitchen well equipped for cooking.
Five bedrooms.
One with a double bed, 160cm.
Two with 120cm beds.
One with a 90cm bed.
One with a child bed (not full size but ok for up to 10 years).
One bathroom with a bathtub/shower. One guest bathroom with a toilet and sink.
Wash room with a washing machine and a dryer.
Big deck/terrace with a hot tub and outdoor furniture.

We absolutely love to travel!
I work in the travel industry in Iceland and Tryggvi is a plumber. We are both 40 years old.
We are a couple with 4 children. Ages 5,9,10 and 13.
Our home is located near Reykjavík city centre.We have exchanged our home 3 times and it has always worked very well.

We recently moved to a house in an extremely nice neighbourhood in Reykjavík with beatiful nature surrounding it.

A very nice public swimming pool only 2 minutes walk away that has steam bath, slides, several hot tubs and a gym.
Bakery and ice cream store next to the swimming pool and a convenience store just up the street on the corner.
Numerous walking/biking paths in the neighbourhood, beautiful coastline.
Aprox 7-10 minutes to Reykjavik city centre by car/bus.
Aprox 5 minutes to Reykjavik Kringlan Mall by car/bus.
Aprox 3-4 minutes to Smáralind Mall Kópavogur by car. 10-15 minutes bikeride.
Close by there is a grocery store (open 10-22), restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacy, clinic, church, library, Scandinavian art museum, a small natural history museum, concert hall, bank, and more.
Nauthólsvík, a sandy beach with warm water and outside hot tub close by (see map).
