About our home

Cozy apartment in a quiet neighborhood, centrally located, only 10 min drive from Reykjavik city centrum

Our lovely home is a traditional Icelandic house, near the center of Reykjavik. Coming up the front stairs, the first floor has a kitchen with all modern amenities, living room with large TV and 2 comfortable sofa. The 1st floor also has one children's bedroom with one bed (70x180), 1 bedroom with bed ( 140x200) one master bedroom with a large double bed (160x200). Also on the floor is bathroom with a shower.
Downstairs we have a laundry room. We also have a very nice grown garden and tables and chairs for dining or relaxing.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Our apartment is located in a nice quiet neighbourhood around 40 minutes walk from Reykjavik's city centre, where you will find lots of good restaurants, pubs and theatres, art-galleries and shops.

The great swimming pool, "Laugardalslaug", is only 20 minutes walk from here or 6 minutes by bus (#14). There is a "7/11" type of grocery store 5 minutes walk from here if you need something to bite but we recommend buying your groceries at Bónus, Krónan or Hagkaup or enjoy some of the nice restaurants down town.

Only a 10 min drive to Reykjavík city center and 5 min drive to Kringlan (shopping mall).

GETTING AROUND
The bus stop is just 5 minute from here (#6 and #3) which will take you down town in just 6 minutes. Download the app Strætó / bus.is, and you can search for bus rides and buy bus tickets.
A taxi stand and car rentals are also close by either at BSI or the regional airport.

WHEN AND WHERE WE WANT TO SWAP
We are looking for a swap anywhere. We would prefer to also swap cars. We can provide a cleaner at the end of your stay so you do not have to clean before leaving if you wish. Nice to have a garden with deck and friendly neighborhood, save for children.
