Family home in Reykjavík capital area

Our home is located in Hafnarfjordur, a town by the seaside in the capital area with a approx 20 min drive from city centre of Reykjavik.
We live on the ground floor in a building with 4 apartments each with own entry.

Our home has three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed. Our 10 yr old boy's room has wall mounted flatscreen, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch which you will be most welcome to use . Our 3 yr old has his own standard bed which can be a high bed or turned around the other way. Toys for kids to play with. In our living room is a cosy tv-coach to soak in is also very comfortable for sleeping. and also video game consoles here (this is a home of a video game developer). Our dining table easily has rooms for 8 people.

Kitchen is equipped with dishwasher , oven, topstove, refrigerator with freezer and all the equipment you might need for cooking.

Bathroom has a separate bathtub and shower. We have washing machine and dryer in the laundry room, iron and ironing board.

Our place is 10 min walk to city centre of Hafnarfjordur and 2 min walk from the front door is the bus stop where the bus that goes to city centre of Reykjavík and main busstops where you can take buses to various locations in the capital area or out of town. By the bus stop there is a public, heated swimming pool with hot tubs, sauna, kid friendly water slides and an indoor pool as well. You might say that we have a pool in our front yard ;) A 20 min walk there is a bigger indoor public swimming pool with kid friendly pools and various hot tubs as well as a fitness center.

Our shared garden has a trampoline during spring and summer.

Across the street you'll find a small grocery store and local artists workshop where you'll find various handcrafted art and also the towns local newspaper.

From our dining table you'll be able to watch the small boats harbour. And by the balcony door there is a hanging chair from where you'll also be able to watch the harbour and the live go by. During spring and summer there are various festivals in our town : Music festivals hosted by locals, Viking festival , National independent celebration, Seaman festival and easy access to various events in Reykjavik.

As a bonus you will enjoy the company of our 18 yr old feline who will be needed to be fed by our guests during stay. She loved to stay outside during summer
