Our beautiful 134 square m house in the cosy town of Hafnarfjörður was built in 1926 but we have rebuilt it almost completely, still keeping the old charm intact.
The house is on 3 floors with a King size bed in the attic which is the master bedroom. There you will also find a wc and sink, a computer desk and a closet.
On the second floor we have the kitchen and living room with an access to a big balcony with a BBQ gas grill.
Our kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, stove and refrigerator.
The living room has a tv, dvd player and stereo. It has 2 sofas and a massage chair.
The first floor has the main bathroom with a shower, massage bathtub and a washing machine. There you will also find a large children playroom/office and the second bedroom with a queen size bed. That bedroom has a small tv, a vhs video player and a few vhs children movies.
The garage has a dryer, an area to dry clothes and a freezer.
The garden is small but very private with stairs that lead up to the balcony.
We are a couple, 56 year old forestry manager and a 53 year old teacher. We have 2 daughters who live close by and 2 grand children who visit us often.
We love to travel and see new places. That is why we bought our camper and we use it to travel all over Iceland.
If you need any tips or information about Iceland we know quite a lot about our country and both our daughters work in tourism.
The house is located in Hafnarfjörður, often called the town of the vikings and hidden people.
It is built in a lava field which is quite unique and at the end of our street is one of the most beautiful gardens in Iceland called Hellisgerði.
At the other end we have a very nice pond surrounded by unique old houses.
It only takes about 10-15 minutes to drive to the capital city of Reykjavík from our home town.
Hafnarfjörður is a quiet little harbor town with over 26.000 habitants. It has a small shopping center, cafés, fast food restaurants and boutiques.
The town is also surrounded by beautiful nature, hiking trails, walking paths and one of the nicest golf courses in Iceland.
