We live in an appartment building on the ground floor.
There is a small laundry room inside the appartment, washer, dryer and clothing lines.
There are 2 large bedrooms and 1 smaller.
We currently have beds for 4 people, but I am sure we could arrange an extra sleeping cot if needed.
We could also provide a sleeping cot for a baby, we have a high chair. (We also have toys books, bibs and cups for visiting young humans)
There is 1 bathroom that has both a shower and a bathtub.
Living room, dining room and kitchen are in a semi open door plan.
Our neighborhood elementary school is in our "backyard" so there is plenty of space for the kids to go out an d play.
There are also smaller playgrounds nearby.
Iceland is a very safe place so it is customary for kids to go outside by them selves to play.
There is a golf course 10 minutes walk away.
There is one supermarket (Bonus) 15 min walk away, next to that there is a bakery and a Thai restaurant (they also do take away) In that same area there is an indoor public swimming pool, a pharmacy and a gym.
There is a burger takeaway 12 min walk from our house.
20 min walk in another direction there is another supermarket (Kronan) and an outdoor public swimming pool.
There is a bus stop 10 meters from our front door.
Getting to Reykjavik city center is 15-20 min by car 35-50 min by bus depending on the route.
The thing I love the most about living here is the fact that we are so close to nature.
We only have to drive 10 min to be outside the city.
We love to drive around Reykjanes and find new places.
There are so many great places to hike and see amazing views, or go for piknics (in the summer time, we tried once in Febuary and almost froze to death ha ha )
We have a gas grill on the balcony, and the most stunning view !
We are a family of 4 mom and dad 42 and 39 , daughter 17 and son 11.
We are a fun family of four
Oskar works in a Network operation center , Helga drives a taxi
We are nerds at heart, we love museums, and things that give us a connection to local history.
