Where is it?

Hveragerði is a small town of about 1,700 inhabitants that lies some 45 km east of Reykjavík, Iceland's capital. The town is set on a large geometral area with lot of hot springs and small geysirs, and greenhouse cultivation is the primary industry. The town is located near the principal highway, short way from some of Icelandic biggest attractions, like Thingvellir national park, Geysir, Gullfoss waterfall and the glaciers. From Hveragerdi is great access to touring Iceland, hiking, skiing, fishing, horse riding, driving on the glaciers etc. To Reykjavik is 25 min. drive, there you will find lots of restaurants, shops, nightclubs and even whale watching. We are willing to exchange car if preferred.
