Our house is a in a very central but quite residential area of down town Reykjavik. The house is about 240 m2 and is a beautiful 60s mid-century modernist architecture. There are four large bedrooms, bathroom, laundry room with extra shower, grand hallway with stairs up to the living room and kitchen and office (with sofa/bed) . Mixers, slow juicer, Rocky espresso machine with coffee grinder. All nessesary ameneties for comfortable living. 55" TV and Bang & Olufsen speakers (bluetooth and airplay) for a great sound experience across the house, 3 point google mesh wifi. Great private south garden with BBQ, fireplace and sofa. There is also a big 4,5 diameter trampoline in the east part of the garden. Walking distance to grocery store, bakery, dry cleaner, coffeeshop ... and Kringlan, the largest mall in Reykjavik, it's just "across" the street.
The interior design, minimal Scandinavian and all walls are covered with art, sound in every room. The home is very well located in the city centre and close to everything except the noice of down town. There is a 20 min walk to Perlan, one of Reykjaviks landmarks, which is next to Nauthólsvík, Reykjavik´s man made beach with geothermal heating. There is a very nice 30 min walk down town trough the park and a 20 min walk to Laugardalur valley (out door geothermal swimming pool). 5 min walk to Kringlan mall. There is a supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, dry cleaner and hair saloon just 3 min away. The neighborhood is very child friendly. It´s a quiet residential street very close to the city centre. We have a great outdoor garden/patio with sofa and BBQ and fireplace. Free parking just by the door. Office space and great wifi. It's the perfect location to start an Icelandic adventure.
