About our home
Our vacation house is in a small valley by a little lake surrounded by mountains. It is 120 sqmeters. It takes you 40 minutes to drive to Reykjavik down town. It is an easy drive to south Iceland and west.
Next town is 25 minutes drive. The cafe by the lake is a bar, cafe and a small grocery store. We have been renting it to travelers with great success. The kitchen has everything you would need for making a good dinner. There is netflix and very good wifi.
View the sunset over the lake or see the Aurora Borealis, when the conditions are right, from the wooden deck wrapping around the house or even from the hot tub. Our secluded home situated in a mountain valley offers wooden accents throughout, a hot tub with geothermal water, and comfortable amenities. It feels far away from any city, and yet it is only 40 min. drive from down town Reykjavik. Many points of interest in the west and south of Iceland are within easy reach.
