About our home

Small but charming townhouse in the outskirts of Reykjavik Iceland with private garden. 4 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Next door to nature with mountains and hiking trails. But only 20 minutes driving to Reykjavik city center.

More about us

  1. We are a couple with 3 kids, age 12, 9 and 6

  2. Gretar is an engineer, works mostly on projects in Norway. Hildur works with MICE, not the animal, but meetings, incentives, conferences and events; actually destination marketing for Reykjavik and Iceland.

  3. We love running. Hildur used to be faster, but not any more!

Where is it?

Mosfellsbaer is in the outskirts of Reykjavik, capital city of ICeland. Only 20 mintues driving into the city center, but also just a few steps away from nature, mountains, hiking. Close by there is a very nice lake and just many hiking trails and very quiet area. But also the bus from the city stops just around the corner so it is easy to access via public transportation to Reykjavik city. Local tip is our swimming pools and in Mosfellsbaer we have Lagafellslaug, the most popular one both for kids (waterslides) and for adults (hot tubs and sauna).
