About our home

(already found a place to go 2006) We offer our simple home in the heart of Reykjavík. A relaxed living room, two bedrooms (a possibility for 3 grownup-beds and two child-beds), a bathroom of course and a kitchen that has a view to the north of the local mountain (we are proud of it but then again the Icelanders are proud of so many things ;c). We are in the process of making a little garden, mainly for our son but also for us to relax in the long evening sun or to have a barbeque etc. It will be finished early this summer I hope.

Features

More about us

  1. I work in a preschool and my fiancey in a shop on Laugavegur. I graduated from the Univercity of Iceland one year ago and my fiancey will go and study hairdressing next autumn. Our two year old son is in preschool. We are getting married in June and hopefully home exchange will help us have a little honeymoon this summer :c). I play guitar and drums and my fiancey likes to paint ceramic´s. Our son likes playing out side with his toy cars.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Our soon to be garden is adjacent to a playground area but on the other side is Laugavegur the main shopping street of Reykjavík and we are very close to the main busstation of Reykjavík so public transportation is good. If you are interested in the famous Reykjavík nightlife then this place is perfect. But if you are more interested in sightseeing then the central bus station will provide your transport to whatever you want to see (and of course we will help you out with whatever we can, what to see and how to get there etc.).
