About our home

Our beautiful home is in a quiet residential area close to the city center. It consists of 3 bedrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen and 2 restrooms. The laundry room is in the ground floor (or cellar, if you will). The washing machine is new as well as the cooking stove and the dishwasher. The apartment is stylish in a classical sense.

More about us

We are a family of five. However our son is away as an exchange student so he will not be traveling with us in the next year or so. Our children are 17 years old, 6 years old and a girl born in April this year.
We are into vedic lifestyle, vegetarians who meditate twice a day, do yoga and long walks. We work on literary projects, writing and translating as well as construction projects, designing and building vaastu homes. The husband is a vaastu consultant and a licensed builder. He also holds seminars on various subjects relating to vedic knowledge and personal development. The wife is a former school teacher, holds a B.A. in linguistics and M.A. in translation studies. She is also a yoga and tango teacher.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

There is only 5 minutes walk from the house to the main street where there are restaurants, cafes, shops etc. This part of town has residential houses, most of which are on 2 or 3 floor, has abundance of trees and scrubs, and is clean and nice. We are close to the seashore on either side, where there are nice walkways by the shore. The climate is most part pleasant, never gets too hot nor very cold. In the wintertime there are few hours of daylight depending on time of winter and in the mid summertime there is practically daylight 24 hours.

To us this is the best house and our favourite part of Reykjavík :)
