About our home
My home is an amazing place. It is located on the border of the sea with an amazing view over Faxaflói (Fjord). It is a mid-century house and I have tried to keep it authentic. I am an artist so the furniture and the style of the house is accordingly. The house has a beautiful living and dining room with large windows with a view of the sea. The master bedroom also has a seaside view and you can have coffee in bed and watch the waves in the morning (Summer) or the city lights on the other side of the fjord (Winter). It is possible to go swimming (if you like the cold sea) and kayaking in the summer and spring (only recommended though if you know how as the sea is rough in Iceland). There is another bedroom which is my son´s who is 10 (with 120 cm bed), a washing room, a kitchen, bathroom with a tub and a shower and TV room that can also be used as a bedroom (possible to close the door). Here you really feel like you are in nature and the view is really stunning.

Where is it?
Neighbourhood
The house is on the border of Vesturbær, Reykjavík and Seltjarnarnes. There is about 20 min walk to the city centre of Reykjavík and about 8 min on the bus. The bus stop is 1 min walk from the house. There are beautiful walking paths close by both the coast in Reykjavík and along the coast of Seltjarnarnes. There are two outdoor swimming pools nearby - both within 3 min drive from the house or 10 min walk. Walking distance: supermarket 8 min , a fresh fish shop 1 min away, a burger joint 5 min away, a café 10 min away and the best bakery in town as well (next to the swimming pool).
