About our home

My apartment is located in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Reykjavik. It is in only ten minute walking distance from the very center of the city. What I love the most about my neighborhood is the diversity of the inhabitants; mixed with young students, families with children and seniors, of many who have lived there their whole life. The apartment is 60 m2 and consists of a living room, kitchen, bathroom with a tub/shower and one bedroom. There is a nice double bed in the bedroom and I also have a double mattress that can be placed in the living room where two people can sleep. The apartment is very bright and cozy and newly renovated, with a new kitchen and bathroom. There is a washing machine with a built-in dryer for private use in the basement.

My name is Helgi Helgason, I am 33 years old and live and work as an architect in Reykjavik. I love to travel both locally and abroad and I am also very much interested in music and theater.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

My place is close to all service such as grocery stores, bakeries and pharmacies. There are two public out door swimming pools in the neighbourhood as well as a cinema and The National Museum of Iceland. The coastline Ægisida is only few hundred metres away as well as the old harbour. It is very nice to walk along the sea side and watch the sunset.
