Our apartment is compact with private entrance and very good location at the harbour area in Reykjavik city center. Free parking all around the house. Supermarkets and restaurants are within a short walking distance.
Our apartment is occupied with school girls during winter, so it is only available for summer time; June, July and August until the 20th. However, if you are open to non simultaneous changes we can travel all year. The summer of 2018 is fully booked..
The apartment is at street level with 2 steps down. Good storage for clothes in the foyer. Kitchen and living room are open plan. WiFi and TV with small selection of Scandinavian, British and international channels. Two small bedrooms with luxury mattress beds; the bigger room has 140 x 200 and the smaller room has 120 x 200. Small bathroom with shower. Laundry room is private with washing machine and good heat to dry clothes.
“We spent a week in June 2018 in Auður's apartment. It was exactly as described. The location was great and we were able to walk to the restaurants and shops. Having a car exchange allowed us to travel further afield and explore the great outdoors. There is lots to do both locally and further afield including so no hesitation in recommendation the location and of course the hosts . ”
“We had a lovely week in Reykjavik, the home is 5 minutes walk from the city centre in a quite area across from the harbour, it could not have been a better location. Very comfortable beds, we slept very well. Ideal for supermarkets again a 5 min walk. I had a fun first evening at Audur's and his wifes main home, 5 minutes walk away, they were very kind and friendly, lovely meal and drinks. We enjoyed driving around Iceland with the exchange car, doing the Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon and some of South West Iceland, it was beautiful. They will be coming to my home in Stirling, Scotland in 2020 and look forward to seeing them. I would happily recommend an exchange if you are looking to get to know Iceland.”
