About our home

A 200 sq.m house in Skerjafjörður a cute little area by the seaside, yet close to city centre. 20 mins walk from the centre, 3 minutes walk to the seaside. Bus takes 5 minutes to downtown. Great for families, with trampoline and barbeque.
This is an old, charming house with a good soul, built in 1934 and is actually the first Funkis style house built in Reykjavik. The house sits on a small hill and is surrounded by a beautiful garden. There is a new veranda in front of the house, facing south which is very spacious and there´s a newish good quality barbecue . Since my husband and I bought the house, we are constantly renovating the house, we´ve done very much for it but a few bits left, which is why we rent our home regularly.
Beautiful, quiet street in a little area down by the sea. Perfect for families as it is very safe, quiet and lot´s of little playgrounds in the area. It is a 5 minute drive downtown (about 20 minute walk) and to the BSÍ tourist bus centre. There is a minimarket close by at Eggertsgata called Háskólabúðin (next door to the University of Iceland) and is open til midnight otherwise there is a shop on the west side (5 minutes drive) on Hofsvallagata called Melabudin or lots of shops downtown.
