About our home

located in South Iceland in Grímsnes, directly at the famous Golden Circle tourist route. It is a 45-minute drive from the capital Reykjavík and a 90-minute drive from the International Airport in Keflavík. The House is located at the river Sog which is Iceland’s largest freshwater river in terms of water volume. It is especially famous for fishing Arctic char, Atlantic salmon and brown trout.

Directions from Reykjavík to the House (Home address: Ásborgir 30 - 801 Selfoss)

Take Road 1 heading east over the Hellisheiði pass and past Iceland’s flower village Hveragerði. Just before the town of Selfoss (which is marked “Árborg” on the map) you take a left onto Road 35 (Biskupstungnavegur) and drive along the mountain Ingólfsfjall. Take a left onto Road 36 (Þingvallavegur) heading towards the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park. You will soon see white houses on the left hand side.
