This is an apartment in a triplex used as a summer retreat about 100 km from Reykjavik. There are three bedrooms, one has a double bed and a bunk bed. The second one has a double bed and a double sofa bed and the third one has a double bed. There is also a double sofa bed in the living room. The kitchen is roomy and has a large dining table
My sister and I own this apartment and use it as a getaway with our families and friends. I am retired and live in the US, but she lives in Iceland. We both like to travel and would like to exchange our summer retreat for places to stay elsewhere in the world. This summer we will be traveling together in Provence and staying in Nice for a week.
The apartment is ideally situated as a base for traveling around the south west part of Iceland. Located 8 km from the community of Fludir, where you can find restaurants, a small supermarket and a couple of swimming pools (one is the oldest pool in Iceland). The Distance to Geyser is about 20 km and Gullfoss 25 km. A neighboring farm operates a horse rental and riding tours. There are several hiking routes just a few km away. Other historic sites in the neighborhood are the famous volcanos Hekla and Eyjafjallajokull and the site of the oldest parliament in the world Thingvellir, located on the continental rift between North America and Europe. There are also two golf courses within 10 km distance.

Downtown Reykjavik, in one of the oldest part of town. Quiet and nice. Very near the harbour and the city
We built our 173 m2 home 4 years ago. It is in the country side with lot of free space around and about 10 km from Akureyri. Close to the Christmas house....
