About our home

Our beautiful home is situated in Seltjarnarnes a suburb of Reykjavik.

Seltjarnarnes is located only a few minutes car ride from downtown Reykjavík. The tip of Seltjarnarnes peninsula is one of the lesser known gems of Reykjavík. The Grotta lighthouse and surroundings have a wonderful appeal for those who appreciate the outdoors. With the rich bird life, the area offers amazing opportunities for outdoor recreation, making it one of the best destinations for afternoon, or early evening, "tours" from Reykjavík. The bay at the tip of the peninsula even has a beautiful black sand beach, and the view of Snæfellsjökull glacier and Faxaflói bay is probably one of the most spectacular in the Capital region.

Our house is situated on the top floor of a two-story villa and was completely rebuilt in 2013 to match our needs. There are 4 bedrooms and 1,5 bedrooms. The main living area is spacious and connects well with the kitchen making it a home for the whole family.

We are a family of 5, mom (me), dad and three kids (13, 10 and 1 year old). We are looking to travel in april 2019 for the Easter vacation and also would love to visit France in June 2019.
