About our home
We love our house! It is 200 fm, has everything we need, its cozy, with a fireplace and a sea view. Its located in a lovely neighbourhood by the sea, only a 15 min. walk to the center of Reykjavík.
The house has three floors; on the first floor you find the kitchen with entrance to the garden, dining area, living room and a bathroom with a shower. Upstairs you have four bedrooms and a bathroom with a bathtub. Downstairs is a tv room and the washing room. The garden has garden furniture, barbeque and a trampolin. And there you´ll also find the bicycles.
The neighbourhood is very friendly and has everything you need in a 5 min walking distance; a local grocery store, bakery, fish market, a kids playground and a very nice cafeteria and the thing we love the most: a public geothermal outdoor swimmingpool. By the seashore you have a lovely walking path that leads to a public beach with a hot tub, where some very healthy people bath in the sea the whole year round, even in freazing winter.
From our home you can reach countless amazingly beautiful destinations within an hour; blue lagoon, lakes, volcanos, geysirs...etc

Reykjavík is not a big city, but it has a lot of culture to offer; art gallerys, museums, restaurants, bars, cafés and swimmingpools. And just outside of the city you have endless amazing nature wonders to explore. In within an hours drive from our house you have the blue lagoon, a geothermal park with hot springs, a velley with hot springs to bathe in, villages with nice local restaurants, volcanos, lakes and Þingvellir national park.
