About our home

We would really like to swap over new year 2021 and next summer.
We live in the West town of Reykjavík. Vesturbær is today considered by many the most interesting community in Reykjavík. Vesturbær has always offered a high quality of life and living. On of the most popular swimming pools in Reykjavík, Vesturbæjarlaug, is in Vesturbær. It is a great are for outdoor recreational activities and has the most popular walking paths in the city, Ægissíða. It is within walking distance to downtown Reykjavík. In walking distance of our home you will find grocery stores, bakeries, bus stations, cafés, a public swimming pool, playgrounds and restaurants and bars.

Where is it?

Our home is very close to many attractions, nice cafés, and a geothermal swimming pool. We recommend (the very) short walk to the harbor and gallerias and the National Museum.
We live very close to the up and coming food district Grandi where you'll find an ice parlor, cheese shop, speciality cake shop and a chocolotier (Ommnomm), foodhall and many more.
At least three high quality artisan bakeries are within 7-10 minutes walk and several restaurants.
The city center is only 15 min. walk.
Over the past few years, Grandi harbour has transformed into a cultural fixture of Reykjavík. Bursting with shops, restaurants, and museums, the former fishing-district has invigorated downtown life, while paying homage to the fishing roots that allowed this small town to grow into the capital of Iceland.
