About our home

Our vacation home at the vestfjord, north vest cost of Iceland, is in a beutiful surrounding of mountains and white beaches. Close to our house is a hot natural pool by the see. It is a 4,5 hour drive from Reykjavík. Our house was rebuilt 2009 everything in the house is new. Outside the house is a jacuzzi and dining area. The litle town Patreksfjörður is 25 mín. drive and Látrabjarg the biggest puffin area in Iceland is 45 min. drive. Ísafjörður the capital of the vestfjord is 1,5 hour drive. During winter some of the roads like to Ísafjörður and Látarbjarg are closed because of snow. We can usually drive to our house all year around or we can drive to Stykkishólmur from Reykjavík and take the ferry to the pier at Brjánslæk 10 mín drive from our house. The vestfjod of Iceland has beutiful hiking areas, natural pools, birdwatching and just endless exploring.
