We are a quiet an easygoing couple who really enjoy travelling and exploring new cultures: Laure (27) and Sebastien (27). We work as animators/directors, in the animation (cartoon) industry. We are French but are currently working in India for a year and a half. We haven't done any home exchange yet, but are really looking forward to. We are non-smokers and respectful and we promise to take good care of your home. And of course we will give you many tips to make your stay easier and comfortable. We are only looking for non simultaneous exchanges, as during our time in India we won't have the opportunity to travel very far (we keep our few holidays to go back home in France), so we are looking for people who would come this year during summer or winter, so that we could go to your home more likely in 2011.
Whitefield road is a quite calm suburban area, once you get out of the residence you really come to the real traditional India, with a fruit and vegetable market 5 mins away, small shops along the street and a few restaurants. After a 10 mins walk, you can also find a brand new shopping mall, with all kinds of shops, big international clothes brands, traditional arts and crafts, a cinema and a foodcourt. For the transport, we suggest you rent a car with a driver while you are in Bangalore, we can give you an address for that. There are also rickshaws, very cheap small taxis. Bangalore is a very pleasant city to stay with nice parks and monuments, a lot of shopping malls, and a few kilometers away there are many things to do, a safari park with tigers, ride elephants, you can go hiking in the mountains, visit Mysore's Palace, and many more. In a longer distance there is Goa (great beach and party place), Hampi (famous archeological site), Pondicherry, and by plane you can reach all India.
