About our home

Our house is a beautiful colonial bungalow located in the heart of Pondicherry.

From the entrance door, you will discover an open air patio which is the center of the house .

There are 3 rooms on the ground floor; including a small bedroom with a king size bed; my office with a computer and a projection room. The kitchen used to be a separate building so the dining space is also in an open area under a shed and away from the sun. A large bathroom has also an opening on the patio.

On the 1st floor you will find 2 bedrooms each with A/C. The largest one has also a sitting area. There is also another bathroom with toilet on the 1st floor and a dressing room.

The kitchen is fully equipped (except for microwave, we have only regular oven) and has a filter machine for drinking water.

Neighbourhood

Blossoming bougainvilleas, crumbling cathedrals on leafy boulevards and 18th-century colonial buildings colour the former French colony of Pondy, which sits on the Bay of Bengal. But it's also unmistakably Indian, with colourful festivals throughout the year, several mosques and the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. Quiet beaches stretch north and south from town, good for swimming and sunrise strolls. Pondy is a popular weekend getaway destination and is easy to navigate on foot or by bicycle.
