“Our stay was wonderful, only regret is we didn’t have more time. Jenny was so easy to communicate with, the house is lovely and so comfortable. Wayan Ani was so incredibly hospitable and yet not intrusive, just the perfect host. I would really recommend seeing if she is available to cook if you stay, there is so much love that goes into her meals. Gede who helped us with transport was excellent as well, knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend time with. Thank you for having us”

About our home
A fantastically located hidden gem, our romantic, architect-designed 130sqm one-bedroom home offers the magic of open-air Bali-style tropical living a short, gentle stroll away from Ubud's myriad temples, galleries, restaurants, boutiques, spas, yoga centres (yet worlds away from the bustle of the main streets).
Overlooking the family temple next door, the open-sided, fan-cooled 7m x 6m living area with its high vaulted ceiling and fish pond incorporates a casual lounging area, dining area with antique teakwood table and seating for six, and a well-equipped kitchen. Up a few steps is the 4m x 5m air-conditioned and fan-cooled bedroom, with comfortable super-kingsize bed dressed in fine cotton bed-linen, a dressing alcove with shelving and hanging area, and a garden bathroom. Sliding doors in front of the bed open onto a terrace with seating, facing a moss-covered Buddha statue and surrounded by tropical blooms.
Throughout, contemporary details like polished concrete walls and textured stone floors mix with traditional twists such as antique Javanese doors, reclaimed ironwood counters ,heritage tiles and stone statues.
A small hotel two minutes down the lane will let you use their pool for a small daily charge, and there are several 'destination' pools elsewhere in Ubud.
Our staff will take care of cleaning and gardening. (For like-for-like swaps, they are included, but for points trips we do ask for a modest contribution of US$10 a day.) You can also engage our housekeeper to cook for you (everything from a simple meal to a multi-course Indonesian buffet), or stage a cooking class for you; many of our guests say her food is the best they had in Indonesia! We can organise a massage for you in the villa, organise scooter hire, and also introduce you to a reliable and charming driver for airport pick-up and fascinating day trips.
This is the perfect place for a couple (or a solo traveller) seeking privacy and security. It may be available at short notice for points trips or non-simultaneous exchange. You are welcome to message me on tamanamidabali@gmail.com to chat first before confirming a swap.

“A wonderful place to relax, centrally located We did not meet the owners, but we were in touch with them and allowed us to stay a couple of extra days due to the volcano eruption and subsequent closure of the airport. We used their wonderful staff and had first class breakfasts. The driver was also very good. ”
“Jenny was a great host - sending lots of information about her beautiful Balinese style house and Bali in general, and introducing us to a recommended driver to pick us up from the Airport and take us on a day tour to amazing temples and Bali's only active volcano Mt Batur. Her house comes with a wonderful housekeeper Wayan Ani who looked after us, filled the fridge with fresh fruit every day and cooked a delicious meal for us which lasted for 3 days. Although the streets are very busy and over-commercialised in Ubud there are many tranquil cafes and restaurants if you step away from the main street. We particularly liked the Antonio Blanco Museum. Our stay was also in a tranquil setting surrounded by lush vegetation and a frog-filled pond which added to the nocturnal cacophony.”
“A wonderful house near Ubud shopping and other activities. Very comfortable living and sleeping accommodations, an oasis of peace. The host and staff, especially Wayan, could not have been more welcoming and helpful with all my demands. She even cooked a lovely dinner most evenings. ”
“My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying at Jennie's house. The outdoor living room, kitchen and bathroom were terrific. Although we are very close to the business of Ubud, this home was very peaceful. Wayan, the housekeeper was lovely. She gave us a cooking lesson and looked after all of our needs and questions. Jennie gave us very complete information about the area before we arrived, and kept in touch, even though she was away at the time. We recommend this home, and Jennie, very highly. Thank you, Jennie!”
“We spent 3 wonderful days at Jenny and Phillip. Their little house is lovely, in the center of Ubud but quiet. Jenny helped us plan our trip and gave us a lot of good advice. A very good address”
“We stayed in Jenny's stunning annex for a week. It was the perfect escape and felt like pure luxury the entire time. Everything is superbly decorated from the bathroom to the outdoor kitchen and living area complete with Koi pond. We spent every evening listening to the gamelan far off in the distance accompanied by the symphony of animals who come out at night. Highly recommended!”
“Delightful family, communication easy, would welcome back.”
“Fantastic guest and a pleasure to communicate with, would welcome Jenny back anytime!”
“Great communication both before and during their visit. Jenny and her husband left our home spotless. They also left a beautiful hand-painted thank you card. Highly recommended and I would be happy to have them back again anytime.”
“It was a pleasure to be able to host Jenny and Philip and we thoroughly recommend them as guests. It felt like we were destined to connect - they needed somewhere to stay at fairly short notice, our dates happened to fit and they had family to visit close by. Our house was spotless when we came back from our holiday, our plants all watered and they'd even left us a hand-painted thank you card. We really hope to be able to meet them in person one day as, through our messages and phone calls, we got to see how lovely they are. Excellent communication throughout. The perfect LHS guests! Thank you, Jenny and Philip and safe travels.”
