Where is it?
Our area is known as the rice bowl of Bali because of the lush surrounding agricultural land traditionally used to grow rice. The area is one of the prettiest in Bali and considered to be one of outstanding importance because of the many original temples and villages that retain the authentic Balinese traditions and rural way of life.
A walk or cycle through the rice fields nearby will not only keep you busy responding to all the friendly waving and smiling from the workers in the fields but also give you a glimpse into a way of life that has remained unchanged for hundreds of years.
The nearest town of Kerembitan has a beautiful old palace that was historically the seat of government for the area and is still regularly used for traditional dances.
Close by is the stunning Pura Taman Ayun, the water palace, definitely a must see.
There are several traditional markets close by where the locals shop, and a short drive north takes you to the spiritual hub of Bali, Ubud.
The tourist hub of Seminyak with an amazing array of shops, restaurants, spas and nightclubs is 20 kilometres away and easily visited for a day or two.
For golf lovers the stunningly beautiful Handara golf course is situated an hours drive away and Tanah Lot temple is a 30 minute drive away.
