About our home

Our family Beach house was completed in 2015, designed by both Norm & I using sustainable local materials: recycled boat timbers: alang alang grass roof, limestone & bamboo for the walls. Furniture created onsite by local Balinese tradesmen.

Now that our children have grown up and are around the world we have opened up this special space for others to enjoy.
If you are looking for a rare remote seaside experience in Bali next to the National Park with no other tourists around - This is the space for you. We now have a 8x5 meter swimming pool (2019)

For 2 people this is a very romantic & private space.
Our local staff are there to clean and cook for you when required, but will then leave you to enjoy the house to yourselves.

If you are a family there is a large day bed for 2 children, sharing the upstairs bedroom with you.

Our beach House has 2 levels
Upstairs - A large verandah area, with 1 king sized bed with latex mattress, Day sofa for 2 kids, DVD player, mini bar fridge, lounge area and large verandah area with sea view.

Downstairs - Large Bathroom - bath for 2 people, rain shower & toilet.

The grounds
Swimming pool (8x5m)
Poolside dining
Tropical garden
Separate kitchen area
Beach loungers & great sunsets.
Onsite parking available.

Wi/fi is available throughout the property - Extra charges apply (10MB package charge is IDR 110.00 (A$ 10)
There is a separate outdoor kitchen area where our staff prepare lovely meals with local ingredients.
Outside dining area by the pool, with lawns & small veggie garden, with a pathway to the beach - 30 seconds away!
Beach Bale to hang out in during the day and watch the ocean.

This is a quiet- yet to be developed part of West Bali, with a safe swimming beach, sunsets to 3 Java volcanoes, locals share the beach with us - throwing out a fishing lines, playing football on the beach and buffalo racing at times.

* Best time to be here: May - Nov
* The beach is mostly calm (not a surf beach)
* Scuba diving on Bali's best dive location is 30 minutes away, Bird watching or trekking in the
Barat National Park.
* The locals are friendly & traditional. The pace is slow & not touristy at all.
