About our home

This is a 900 square feet 3 bed bungalow holiday home located in pretty area just outside the village of Annascaul approximately 10 miles east of Dingle in West Kerry a popular tourist destination .Inch beach is 5 minute drive away with surf boards to hire / surf lessons for all ages at reasonable rates and beach cafe.Village has some pubs,a cafe and 2 shops,doctors office, church .Nice walk near Anascaul lake nearby.Would need a car to get the most out of your trip although bus passes through village going to Dingle/ Tralee/ killarney.Tralee is 12 miles east, quite a scenic drive .House consists of 1 double bedroom en suite with electric shower, a twin bedroom en suite with electric shower, a room with bunk bed, a bathroom ,a hot press, hall, a combined kitchen cum living room with t.v. and open fireplace, also another room with sofa in it.Plenty room to park outside.Shed at back of house.Nice views mountains.Walking routes in the area.

  1. Myself and my huband and sometimes some of our young adult children love to travel.We have a holiday home in scenic West Kerry Ireland and its available flexibily alot of the time.

Buzzy restaurants
In Dingle loads of restaurants especially seafood, try Ashes Bar for good well priced seafood and Out of the Blue or The Half Door if splashing out.Anchor Down great plain seafood very reasonably priced. In Castlegregory nice restaurants also, Spillanes Seafood Bar and The Seven Hogs or Milesian also.At Inch Sammys Stores Cafe is lively and great for beach snacks sitting outside looking at waves .
Cool bars
Nice traditional pubs in village of Anascaul 2 minute walk away.Hanafins Bar very friendly and welcoming .Singing club in Patcheens is special,one famous pub called The South Pole Inn which was home of Tom Crean an Artic explorer from the area.
Cozy cafés
Greenes vegetarian cafe with nice baking 2 minute walk away in village
Retail therapy
Tralee , Dingle or Killarney good shopping towns.Lots nice tourist and pottery shops on the peninsuala.
Bit of culture
lots ! Irish music in pubs in Dingle,Irish language Gaeltacht area west of Dingle,archaeology sites,various arts festivalsetc
Walks in the park
Country roads where house is are good for scenic walks.Annascaul lake 5 minute drive is stunning for walking, The kerry Way trail passes near the house, Inch Beach 5 minutes drive away is 3 miles long great for walks or run, local organised walks at weekends just ask in Hanafins Bar .
Spot of exercise
Surfing on Inch Beach which is 5 minute drive away...can do surf lessons, hire boards and wetsuits on beach resonably.Lots watersports in Castlegregory 20 minute drive away.Cycling ..can store bikes in shed.Horse riding.
Day tripping
Dingle town 10 minute drive west always lively and popular with tourists , boat trip to see Fungi the dolphin a must,boat trips around Slea Head to Blaskets great for wildlife spotting, boat trip to Blasket Islands from Dunquin pier.Killarney 45 minute drive, lakes trips/ National Park/ Muckross house etc
